Obituary

Jane Ann Winter, 86, of Ogden, passed away on January 20, 2024, after battling with dementia for several years.

Jane was born on December 21, 1937, to Frank and Lulu Winter in Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from high school in 1955, then went to Concordia Lutheran Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska, graduating in 1960.

In May of 1960, she married Don Rabe, and soon after they moved to Covina, California, where they both taught Christian education. They adopted two children while in California, Christina in May of 1966, and Philip in June of 1967. The family moved to Snohomish, Washington in 1968, then to Ogden Utah in 1979, and Finally to San Antonio Texas in 1987.

Jane retired from teaching in Floresville, Texas in 2002, and in 2008, returned to Ogden, where she spent the rest of her life.

Jane is preceded in death by both of her parents, and an older brother, Jack. She is survived by both her children, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Services will be held at St Paul Lutheran church at 3323 Harrison Blvd in Ogden on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11am.
