Janean Arave Dickamore

Janean Arave Dickamore was reunited with her sweetheart, Grant Elmer Dickamore, on June 16, 2022, after passing away peacefully at home with her children by her side. She was born on April 21, 1934, in Ogden, Utah, to Lewis Lavon and Edna Stark Arave.

She met her husband Grant while he was working on her uncle's farm when she was still attending Weber High School. They were married and sealed for eternity in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on February 16,1954, while he was home on military medical leave after being wounded in Korea. They settled down and raised their family in South Weber, Utah, and spent nearly 62 happy and loving years together before his passing.

Janean was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities in the Relief Society along with various other callings throughout the years. She loved serving others and especially enjoyed taking dinners to people.

She was skilled in handicrafts such as: sewing, quilting, embroidery, crochet, knitting, and ceramics; and was the recipient of multiple blue-ribbon prizes. She also loved to golf and watch softball, traveling to many games over her lifetime. She enjoyed parties and playing cards, still hosting weekly card games to the end.

Janean was a roller coaster enthusiast believing the higher and faster the better. She even commented to her grandson-in-law days before her passing how much she loved them and that if she could still ride them, she would.

Janean was proceeded in death by her eternal companion, parents, and her twin sister Joanne Thornock.

She is survived by her children; Lynn Dickamore, and Gaye (Jim) Stoddard, grandchildren; Jamie (James) Larsen, and Jenifer (Dallas) Wilberg, six great-grandchildren, and her siblings Dennis Arave, and Deon Somers.

The family would like to thank the team at Aspire Home Health and Hospice for the care provided to Janean in her final weeks.
