Jennie M. Brown Draney November 7, 1920 ~ October 22, 2012Jennie was born on November 7, 1920 in Ammon, Idaho near Idaho Falls, in her Grandma Hattie Mattisons home. Together with her ten brothers and sisters; she spent her childhood years with her parents Al and Buela Brown in Salmon, Idaho; all together she had twelve brothers and sisters. She gently fell asleep in death at the home of her daughter Pam with family at her side. Jennie married Willard Eugene Draney on June 5, 1938, in Farmington, Utah. Mother and Dad had eight children; five girls and three boys, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her daughter Jeanene and son Michael, granddaughter Spring and grandson Clay. She is survived by four daughters: Sharon Hicks, Pamela Oliveras, Rochell McQuade, Annabell Chips, sons: Danny and Lewis Shane Draney and sister Claire Betty.She had a love for life that she would readily share with all, young and old alike, her home was a haven of peace and her door always opened to all. In her final years she shared her home and life with her older sister Claire. They would delight all of us with their accounts of life on the Salmon River. We will always remember the joyful way she whistled like a bird. She taught us the names of many wild flowers and had great respect and love for all of Gods creatures, large and small. There was never a baby or plant that didnt love our mother, because they thrived under her care. A celebration of life will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet friends one hour from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
