Jerry D Hoyt, age 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 7, 2024.

He was born in Auburn, CA on October 23, 1947, to Ben and Oma Hoyt.

Jerry graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 and began his first job at McClellan AFB as an Aircraft Mechanic/Electrician working on F-111's He loved the kind of work he was doing and when the F-111 's were retired at the base in 2000 he transferred to Hill AFB to continue his work with the A-10's. He was a proud veteran who also served in the Air Force Reserves. He retired in 2008 and was happy to have more time to enjoy fishing. He made many great friends on the lakes and was eager to take his family on fishing trips whenever they came to visit. He was also a lifelong hunter and loved growing a big garden. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always there to help others.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cynthia. He has 2 children, son, Steve and daughter, Lorrie. He has one grandson and two granddaughters and 2 great-granddaughters. He also leaves behind 3 sisters, Judy, Gwen, and Glenda and his lifelong best friend, Carl.

He was loved by all, and will be deeply missed, every day.
