Jesse Gallegos Jr. (J), 39, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2017 in South Ogden, Utah. J, was born March 6, 1978 to Jesse Gallegos and Beatrice Montoya Gallegos in Ogden, Utah. J, attended Ogden High School. He married his best friend and former wife Samantha Vu in Ogden, Utah on July 28, 2007. A loving son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many. J, enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, whether it was fishing on his boat, camping, riding four wheelers or barbecuing a mean rack of ribs for his family gatherings with a cold one in hand. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July, and we celebrated it big for you this year brother. He was a very selfless man, who would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. Although he was only here on earth for 39 short years, he sure made the best of it. We will always cherish the memories weve made with him along the way. Music will never be the same, because behind every song he liked was a different reason and meaning. J, is survived by his parents, Grandma Carol; his daughters Jade and Salina; his four-legged companion Dozer; sisters Lynette (Kelly) Swenson, Salina (Mason) Funk, Keith (Lynette) Gallegos; nieces and nephews Joscelyn, Aleah, Quentin, Talia, Cami, Jayvian, KJ and Jeremiah; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. J, is preceded in death by, his brother Joe, Grandpa Eddie, Grandma Mary and Grandpa Joe as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. A viewing will be held in his honor on Friday July 14, 2017 from 5:00 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, (836 36th Street, Ogden, UT), a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday July 15, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, (514 24th St.), Ogden.
