Jimmy Doyle Cosper, Sr., 86, passed away December 25, 2015 in Roy, Utah. Jimmy was born March 22, 1929 to James Lloyd and Mary Dunn Cosper in Colony, Oklahoma. Jimmy attended Weber State College as a machinist. He married Darma Neeley on November 29, 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 28, 1957. They just celebrated their 68th Anniversary. They are the parents of six wonderful children.the favorite being the youngest boy. Jimmy proudly served his country in the Army. This took him to Ogden, Utah where he met his sweetheart, Darma. He worked at Johnson Auto, Chic Armerature. He was a machinist at Hill A.F.B. for 26 years. He retired in 1989. Jimmy was an avid golfer. He loved golfing with his boys. He also loved bowling and gardening, especially growing tomatoes. He was a devoted member of the LDS Church. He served in many capacities over the years, most recently as the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. He was a member of the Monte Vista Ward in Roy, Utah. He was called with his wife, Darma to a Service Mission at the Ogden Cannery from 2006 to 2008. Jimmy had a great love for his Savior. He had a strong testimony. He taught his children to work and respect others. He dearly loved his family. He was always helping others. He always kept his word. He is a man of great integrity. Jimmy is survived by his beautiful wife, Darma; all of his children, Jimmy Doyle II and Alisa Cosper (Clinton, Utah), Randy and Marcia Cosper (Centerville, Utah) M. Craig and Debbie Cosper (Boise, Idaho), Barbara and Ross Baldwin (Poway, California), Don and Marianne Cosper (Roy, Utah), Jennette and J. Anderson (Rapid City, South Dakota); 23 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren; two brothers, J.R. Cosper (New Mexico) and Lilburn Cosper (Oklahoma). He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Virginia Scott and Joquita Cosper. A Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Monte Vista LDS Ward Chapel, 3845 South 2000 West, Roy, Utah. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Monte Vista LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
