Obituary
Jo Paul VanDerMeer, born May 16, 1939 to Garrett and Nellie, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Dannielle and brother Cornelius. Jo is survived by his sister Ellie Hoekenga, five children; Sherry Slager, Yvonne Orme, Gerald Lee VanDerMeer, Monica Hayward and Bridget VanDerMeer, six grandsons, five granddaughters, three great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Services for Jo will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Forest Ridge LDS Church, 1954 East Antelope Drive, Layton, at 11:00 a.m. Family will meet friends one hour prior to services also at the church. Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary. Interment Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
