Joan Adella Moon 65 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, July 5, 2018. She was born February 4, 1953, in Silver Lake, Minnesota to John (Jack) and Annabelle Tilly. On November 27, 1982, she married the love of her life Ronald Moon at the First United Methodist Church in Ogden, Utah. They have spent close to 40 amazing years together. They enjoyed going out country western swing dancing or just randomly dancing together. Joan had just retired in 2017 after working a little over 30 years for the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden, UT where she made many friends. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion of Layton, UT, Eagles of Ogden, UT. She has been on multiple bowling leagues but currently bowled on the 'I can't remember' bowling league at Sparetime and Ben Lomond. Joan enjoyed spending time with her husband going on many vacations and visiting family. They shared many trips to Nevada, Wyoming and many more. Joan was always surrounded by family whether it was family birthday parties every month, every holiday or just someone randomly showing up at her house. She enjoyed the football season, she was an avid Minnesota Viking fan. Joan loved shopping, camping, concerts, visiting her sisters in Minnesota and random poker nights at her house with the whole family. Joan is survived by her husband Ronald Moon, her five children: Tracy White Bennett (Jason Luddington), Troy White (Dori White), Nicole Moon, Misti Moon Nielsen and Tony Moon all from Ogden, UT. She is also survived by her three sisters: Kathryn Kletschka from St. Peter, MN, Mary (Rick) Vogt from Deephaven, MN and Pogy (Cheryl & Mike) Baker from Clearfield, UT; 13 Grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both her parents, parents-in-law and one grandson. A viewing will be held Friday, July 13, 2018, at Leavitt's Mortuary on 836 36th Street in Ogden, Utah from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Family will greet friends from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, followed by Services at 11:00 A.M. Following services a luncheon will be held at the Moon residence. We would like to thank the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Soloist Hospice Care, and Nurse Debbie. Interment at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
