Obituary

Joann Dauma passed away February 4th, 2013 at her home in Sunset, UT. Joann was born April 3rd, 1936 in Cheyenne, WY. She married her high school sweetheart shortly after graduating. She worked for 30 years as a secretary to the Methodist church. She was a Cub Scout leader, an accomplished personal taxi driver to dance lessons and recitals, and a charitable person by volunteering at Shriners Hospital. She has been an avid member of the Masonic society. Within that society she was crowned Queen of the Nile and Worthy Grand Matron of the Ogden Chapter of Eastern Star. Joann knew how to cook up a feast, she always cooked for 60 even if there were only 10 coming. Her family knew that around the holidays you could always plan on 20 batches of cookies and some of the best darn hot rolls in town! We will all miss her, her laugh, and her favorite saying "Oh, you kids!" She is survived by her husband Richard; their children John (wife Elaine), Janet (husband Tim Cottrell), Jeff (wife Shelley), and Julie (husband Paul Miloa); Grandchildren Sanya, Jennifer, Brad, Falisha, Anne-Marie, and Ryan; 3 Great-Grandchildren Riley, Ryan, and Evan. As well as her sisters Judy Jean, both in Wyoming.Per her wishes there will be no formal services held. Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
