Jody Ann Wheelwright McMillan Chachas, 36, passed away suddenly January 12, 2012 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was born June 11, 1975 in Ogden, Utah, the fourth of five children born to Lew and Roberta Wheelwright. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1993, and attended the University of Phoenix. She married twice, once to Cole McMillan and later to Nick Chachas. Although later divorced, they remained good friends. Jody was blessed with three children: Jordynn, 19; Chayse, 13; and Basil, 7. They were the light of her life. Jody had a passion for life and living that was contagious to those around her. One did not need to know Jody for very long before being swept up into her lifes story. She made friends easily with people from all walks of life, and had a talent for being the center of attention. She possessed a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh with her stories. Life was an adventure that needed to be explored, and she was not afraid. In her short life, Jody excelled at many things including snow skiing, scuba diving, river rafting, water sports, cooking, and home decorating. She loved Halloween and was well-known for her neighborhood Halloween costume parties. Jody knew her own mind, and worked hard to support her children. Even in hard times, she always had plans for the future. She loved new beginnings.Her bright, fun-loving spirit will be forever in our hearts. Jody is survived by her children, Jordynn, Chayse, and Basil; parents, Lew and Roberta Wheelwright; siblings Troy (Barbara) Wheelwright, Jeffery (Cheyney) Wheelwright, Kristn (Blake) Hall, and Lori (Ryan) Bosley; grandparents Ralph and Louise Bearce; and eight nieces and four nephews.A celebration of life open house will be held at the LDS chapel at 6350 South Combe Road in Ogden, Utah. Friends and family may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, and from 10 11 a.m. on Friday, January 20. Memorial services will be held immediately afterward at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
