Joe Bartolo Sambrano died at 52 years of age on December 24, 2016 - Christmas Eve at 7:20 pm. Joe was living in Ogden,Utah and was a patient at McKay Dee Hospital suffering from an infection which caused his heart failure.
Joe was born on August 11, 1964, in Lubbock Texas. He was born to Mary Lou and Bartolo Sambrano. He was raised in a family of nine, six sisters and two brothers. He is predeceased by father and mother, two sisters, Rosie and Ellen, and brother Jesse. Survived by four sisters: Janie, Tina, Diane, Frances and one brother, Victor and his son, Bart.
Joe was often a big brother to most who knew him especially to his sisters. There wasnt anything he wouldnt do for you if it were in his power to do so. We believe that his most enjoyable employment was when he was a security officer for his apartment complex in Ogden, Utah. During our visits with him we were always greeted by many occupants from the complex who praised Joe to us for everything he did for them, both on and off duty.
Joe suffered from a foot infection that he had been fighting for almost two years. He also was a type I diabetic which prevented his infection from healing. Joe also had been in and out of the hospital several times during this year. His infection worsened spreading to his bone. Joe was growing very weary and was starting to lose hope that his wound would never heal. Hed just had surgery again on his foot the day before he passed. It is our feeling that he could not hold out any longer and wanted to suffer no more. We would like to believe that his good deeds outweighed the bad ones and that his suffering is finally over. Rest in peace our Brother, we will always love you.
The Sambrano Family would like to offer our many thanks to family and friends for their condolences, especially to our LDS Family and Friends of Fielding, Utah for their assistance with Joes funeral.
Rest in peace brother, till we meet again someday
There will be a Memorial Service on January 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Santa Ana Catholic Church, 760 West 600 North, Tremonton, Utah.
God Bless and be with you always.
