John Barnes passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at his home. John was born to LaMar and Jessie Sims Barnes in Ogden, Utah. He was raised and educated in the Uintah area. Johns life, like his passing was adventurous. John married Tamara Moser on March 1, 1985. He had an awesome sense of humor, which he kept until his passing. He was a multi-talented, proud, creative and innovative man. He was a self taught mechanic. He could Johnny rig anything and make it work. John worked in the concrete and construction field. He enjoyed riding/racing motorcycles, 4wheeling, camping, fishing, hunting and big camp fires. John had a beautiful singing voice. He was an amazing billiard and dart player. John enjoyed long drives, going to Wendover, and spending time with family and friends, especially with Ted and Jeff. John is survived by his wife; Tammy, children; Brandon (Monica) Gladwell, Brittain Gladwell and Deon. His sister Kathie (Alan) Mecham, his brother; Ken (Carolyn) Barnes, his grandchildren; Madelynn, Avery, Keaton, Emmersyn and Rylee Gladwell, mother-in-law; Janet Moser, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law and spouses, many nephews and nieces, uncles, aunts, our dogs; Shadow and Vali and many friends. John is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jeff and sister-in-law Jan, daughter Michelle Gladwell, Father-in-law Ray Moser, many aunts and uncles, cousins and best friend Frank. John was my rock, as well as my thorn but I will always cherish my memories with him. The family would like to thank A Step Forward hospice center and the staff at Maceys Pharmacy for their help in caring for John. Cremation is under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary. A celebration of Johns Life will be held at a later date at his sisters house. A memorial account has been set up for John LaMar Barnes at America First Credit Union to help with Johns medical expenses.
