John Dodson Bradshaw's Obituary

Our loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2015. John was born November 27, 1968 to Lora Leigh and Carl Dodson. John attended Taylor Elementary, Central and Mt. Ogden Middle School and Ogden High School. John was a single father to his four children and grandchildren. John grew up in Ogden and was a hard worker. He was a painter and did drywall, but was a true carpenter. John later became an over the road truck driver and traveled the states. John was unfortunately involved in a terrible car accident that limited his abilities even after many surgeries. Despite his limitations, John was an exceptional person and would always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. John had a great passion for music and was always ahead of the game when new groups came out, but always stayed true to the older music that he loved so much. John loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends and always had his dog by his side. John was a strong man and endured a lot in his life time, but no matter how hard things got, John was unable to hide that one of a kind laugh that we all knew and loved. That will never be forgotten, and it will never be taken from us! There are too many words to describe this great man. A great father, grandfather, uncle, provider, loyal friend, and a true gentleman! John is survived by his children: Amber Brian, Alease Serrano (Raymond Serrano), Cassi Leigh Bradshaw (Trayo Begay) Jakeb Bradshaw; grandchildren: Malina and Lilly Serrano; sister, Lori Dodson; brother, Jason Dodson; and aunt, Jean (Mattson) Toutai. John was preceded in death by his mother, Lora Leigh Dodson; and brother, Craig Drake. John, you are gone from this earth, but will always be in our hearts and truly loved. We know you are at peace. We know you are no longer suffering. You are free.free of pain, free of your hardships, free of anything that made each day harder and harder. What we admire most is your strength, because even with your health issues, you did what you had to do as a father. We love you - Alease.
