Jonn P. deHoll, age 86, passed away September 22, 2023. John is survived by his wife Mary Wheelwright, of 62 years: children, John{Felicity) deHoll of Maple Grove, MN, Tom deHoll of Holladay, UT, and Jeannette (Dave) Swearngin of Ogden, UT: his 7 grandchildren: Christopher (Sara) deHoll, Parker deHoll, Thomas deHoll. Averv (Luke Grundmeyer, John R deHoll, Skyler (Kellie) Swearngin, and Katelynn Swearngin, and his greatgrandson Graham deHoll. He is preceded in death by his parents John F. and Henrietta Gilbert and his brother Fritz. John grew up in CA and he was sure to inform anyone that he met, he came from CA! John taught 5th or 6th grade for 31 years: Fremont Elementary in Sunset and West Clinton Elementary. John was an active runner and loved to backpack with Scouts, family, and his best friend Bob. John was a member of 1st Presbvterian Church of Ogden for over 50 years. He was an elder, a Bov Scout Master of troop #4, and an active member of the congregation. John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a mentor for hundreds of Utah's youth. We will miss John and his stories greatly. A Memorial Service will be held on October 21, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church of Ogden, 880 28th Street, at 1:00 pm, with pastor Jon Draskovic officiating.
