IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Edward
Litanski
March 8, 1945 – March 6, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Edward Litanski, our beloved father, grandfather, and loving husband, on March 6, 2024. John was the only child born March 8, 1945, in Newark, NJ to Helen Lily & John Frank Litanski.
At the age of 19, John entered the US Air Force (USAF) as an aircraft electrician. Upon honorable discharge, he began work in the automotive industry. He always had a deep passion for fast cars and spent many hours in the garage restoring a collector's car, making a repair on the daily driver, or souping up a muscle car to take to the Bonneville Salt Flats.
In the early 1980's John began his career at Hill AFB and enjoyed position advancements through his tenure up to his retirement from the Inspector General's office in 2012.
John is preceded in death by his parents, his youngest son Brock Litanski, and his sweet darling Roxy.
John leaves cherished memories with his wife Linda, children; Johnnie Litanski, Shane (Marcee) Litanski, Sheila (David) Noe, and Shaun Casey Sparks, and 9 grandchildren; Brittany, Sierra, Alyssa, Sage, Jasmyne, Jade, Jonathan, Jordan, and Baylee.
Goodbye is not forever,
Goodbye is not the end,
It simply means I'll miss you,
Until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Leavitt's Mortuary Chapel 836 36th Street, Ogden UT 84403.
