John Ralph Medina, 80, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023, due to health complications. John was born on November 24, 1942, to Phillip Louis Medina and Lillian Pacheco Medina in Ogden, Utah. John is survived by his beautiful and devoted wife of 61 years, Maria Estella Martinez Medina; six children: John Jr. (Gina) Medina, Phillip Medina, Michael (Carol) Medina, Kenny Medina, Natalie (Patrick) Medina Nevarez, and Jason (Brandi) Medina; Siblings: Jim (Esther) Medina, George Medina, Linda (Art) Fraga, Virginia Medina, Leroy Medina, Shirley (Reuben) Lovato, Frank Medina, Susan Medina; as well as countless Nieces, nephews, and family members. He is also survived by; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. John was predeceased by his loving parents, infant sister, and three precious great-grandsons. John was retired from the Defense Depot, where he spent decades providing diligently for his family. He will be forever remembered, for his love and passion, for the great outdoors. An avid outdoors man, you could never fail to find John fishing, camping, hunting, and four-wheeling. When he wasn't outdoors, he was surrounded by those he loved most, watching his favorite football team, the 49ers, or playing Texas Hold'em (with an uncanny desire to see the river card). John was blessed with a long life and countless family, friends, and loved ones. He will be forever loved and missed.
