John E Poulsen passed peacefully through the veil on June 5, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 19, 1934, to James Lowe Poulsen and Elsa Victoria Andersen. His brothers, L D. Poulsen, MD, Robert Poulsen, MD, Jerrry K Poulsen, MD; and his sister, Marjorie Poulsen Williams all preceded him in death. He is survived by one sister, ClaireAnn Poulsen Stevenson (Jim). On March 7, 1952, he married Emogene Ames and had two sons Michael John and David James Poulsen, who all preceded him in death. On Jan 3, 1965, he married Nancy Barbara Solomon (DIV) and gained two stepdaughters, Angela McDonald Fisk (Andrew) and Martha McDonald McIff (Jay) and had one daughter Victoria Lynn Poulsen Olsen (Glenn) who survive him. On April 26, 1975, John married his "Pup", Shauna Quigley Dangerfield, and gained two more daughters, Keri Dangerfield Poulsen Stone and Toni Dangerfield Poulsen Allen (Russ) who survive him. John and Shauna were blessed to blend these three families and are the proud grandparents of 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. John always put "Family First" and made sure his family never went without. He Started his plumbing career in 1955 and had the opportunity to make many friends and associates his field. He owned and operated his company Mechanical Design & Installations from 1965 until 1985 at which time he joined Koch Inc. and retired after 25 years at age 76. John had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and spent his life serving in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The family would like to offer gratitude for the many ministering angels who have assisted with his care, One Care Hospice, and his kind doctor of 20 years Dr. Kathleen Deremer. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 am June 9, 2018, at the Roy 15th Ward, 5900 S 3100 W. After which a celebration of his life will be held in his honor for family and close friends.
