Jolene Garner Bennett April 28, 1947 ~ July 28, 2014 Jolene Garner Bennett, 67 passed away, July 28, 2014 in Hooper, UT. She was born April 28, 1947 to E. Spencer and Audrey J. Garner in Ogden, UT. Jolene graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber College. She married Larry Crouch in the Salt Lake Temple, later divorced, and married Bruce Bennett, July 16, 2005 in Eden, UT. Jolene was very artistic with her oil and watercolor paintings. She brought light into our lives with her beautiful art work. She was a creative seamstress, talented in beadwork, knitting afghans and scarves. Jolene was very proud of winning Jantzen "Miss Smile", a nationally sponsored contest in Hawaii, July 15, 1965. She competed in 5K race, walking, and won several races in her age division. In her last few years she enjoyed antique cars and big game hunting with her husband Bruce; they especially enjoyed their trips to Alaska. For Jolene, spending time with family, especially her granddaughters Kambrie and Paisley, was so valuable to her with bike rides, hiking, and camping. She had a passion for gardening and grew the most beautiful flowers in the neighborhood. All looked forward to any treats and meals that Jolene would prepare. Jolene thoroughly enjoyed traveling which included cruises and vacation to Hawaii, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Alaska. Jolene was a kind-hearted, loving, and thoughtful person who was always here for someone in need, and will be deeply missed. Jolene is survived by her loving husband Bruce, daughter, Marisa (Billy) Pluim, son, Nate ( Tiffanie) Crouch; two step-daughters, Jennifer (Max) Nelson, Becky Christiansen(Ken Yocum); eight grandchildren, siblings; Karla (Chris) Jensen, Jerry (Susan) Garner, Robert (Dawn) Garner, Janice Wallis, Denise (Gregg) Stembridge. Funeral Services will be held at the LDS Hooper 1st Ward Building, 5601 S 6100 W, Hooper, UT; Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Family wished to have no prior viewing.
