Jolene (Jody) Whittier LingerSouth Weber Jolene was born in Ogden, Utah on May 8, 1946 to Maxine Steed Whittier and Joseph Arthur Whittier.Jolene passed away November 20, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.Survivors include husband; Bruce Linger, brother; Jay Arthur (VerDene) Whittier and sister; Mary Lynn (David) Vlaanderen.She spent her younger childhood in Peterson and later moved to Taylor, South Ogden and Sunset, Utah where she graduated from Clearfield High School.She worked at Hill Air Force Base for over 30 years. She spent most of that time as a Program Analysis/Programmer. She designed and wrote prototype systems for the United States Air Force.She married H. Bruce Linger on June 28, 1968. They met in the Aircraft Hangers on Hill Air Force Base. They both shared a love for old cars and were members of several car clubs. Jodys passion for old cars was mostly Studebakers. She also loved to do woodworking. Graveside services for Jody will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park 836 36th Street in Ogden on Monday November 26, 2012 at 11:00 am.
