Josephine Britton Welsh passed away at the age of 91. She was born on October 15, 1926, in Canon City, Colorado to Joel and Mary Britton. She moved to Ogden, Utah to work at Hill Air Force Base during World War II; there she met her future husband of 68 years, Gerald L. Welsh. They married August 12, 1946, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Josephine was a wonderful mother and homemaker with a great love and appreciation for the LDS church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah. Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Welsh and her son, Gary Joel Welsh. She is survived by six children, Susan (Dean) Ellis, Dan (Roni) Welsh, Randy (Lisa) Welsh, Anna (Mike) Burbank, David (Rebecca) Welsh, and Tim (Kari) Welsh; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
