Josie Marie Sanchez, a devoted mother and friend, celebrated her life in heaven on October 22, 2019 at the age of 74. She was born September 19, 1945 in Delta, Colorado to Gregorio and Ermelinda Garcia. Josie graduated from Delta High School. She then married the love of her life, Hilio Sanchez, on November 13, 1966. Josie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Josie worked outside the home a portion of her life but most of her life was spent caring for those she loved. Her greatest joy was taking care of "her babies," her grandchildren. The oldest of siblings, she enjoyed spending time with all of her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Josie was a dedicated Christian and served in many leadership positions for her church. She spent her life loving the Lord and being an example to others. She loved playing the piano and serving her church family in such a beautiful way. Josie was a true friend and made many friends wherever she would go. Many will miss her. Josie is survived by her husband Hilio Sanchez; children: David Sanchez, Anita (Jeison) Ruiz; grandchildren: Angelic Sanchez, Jeison Josiah Ruiz, Isaac Ruiz and Noah Ruiz. She is preceded in death by her father, Gregorio Garcia; her mother, Ermelinda Garcia; and grandmother who helped raise her, Eloisa Vigil. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 2, 2019 at the Apostolic Assembly Church, 1634 Kiesel Avenue, Ogden, Utah 84401.
