Joyce A. Eckenbrecht

Joyce Agnes Bithell Eckenbrecht passed away in her home on March 29, 2022. Joyce was born in Ophir, Utah Nov. 19, 1926, to Thomas Samuel Bithell and Jennie Higgins Bithell. She grew up In St.George Utah where she attended Dixie High School and Dixie College. She graduated from Utah State University where she met her husband, Henry. She was a lieutenant in the United States Air Force. She worked for many years as an educator, librarian, and media specialist in Ogden Utah. During that time, she received a master’s degree from the University of Utah.

Joyce was an amazing woman with boundless energy and creativity. She loved all Holidays, and especially Christmas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Henry W. Eckenbrecht, and children; William Eckenbrecht and Tracey Eckenbrecht.

She is survived by her children Kathryn Eckenbrecht (Doug Felt), Janet Kuennemann (Eckhard), Kurt Eckenbrecht (Cindy). Her grandchildren Marra, Peter, Tessie, Jenny, Elizabeth, Gabriella, and Tomas and great-grandchildren Vincent, Gianna, and Theodore.

A graveside service will be held for friends and family April 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.  at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. 

Lovingly remembered, she will be missed.
