IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Juan
Barros
November 16, 1938 – February 9, 2026
Juan Barros, a man whose life was a testament to love, humor, and selflessness, departed from this world in Roy, Utah, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Born in the vibrant city of Santiago, Chile, Juan's journey was marked by the strength of his character and the depth of his compassion.
As a dedicated husband to Magdalena Barros, Juan's partnership in life was built on a foundation of unwavering love and mutual respect. Together, they raised a family of remarkable sons: Juan Carlos, Pablo, Christian, and Mikol. The joy of his life multiplied with the addition of grandchildren Tommy, Nicole, Kevin, Andy, Max, Krassna, Paloma, and Jeremia, and great-grandchildren Lana, Leo, Koa, Taytum, Salem, Santino, Verena, and Matilde. Each of them carried a spark of Juan's spirit, a legacy of laughter and kindness that will continue to brighten the world.
Juan's daughter-in-law Beatriz, alongside Ximena and Maria, held a special place in his heart, with Beatriz providing care that exemplified the family's dedication to one another. His bonds with family were a source of strength that sustained him, especially during his courageous battle with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Juan's hands were not only tools of creation but also of connection. His work was more than a profession; it was a means to bring joy into the lives of others, a tangible expression of his innate desire to serve and uplift. His involvement in associations within his field was marked by the same commitment and enthusiasm he brought to all aspects of his life.
A devout Christian, Juan's faith illuminated his path and guided him with hope and grace. His spirituality was a wellspring of comfort, not only for himself but for all who were blessed to be in his presence.
Juan's passion for gardening mirrored the way he lived his life—cultivating beauty, nurturing growth, and celebrating the simple pleasures that each day brought. His gardens were a haven of tranquility, reflecting the harmony and balance he sought to create in every aspect of his existence.
To speak of Juan is to speak of a man who embodied love in its purest form. His humor was a beacon of light that could pierce through the darkest of times, and his selfless nature was a reminder of the profound impact one individual can have on the lives of many. Juan Barros was a man who lived not for himself but for the joy and well-being of others.
As we honor his memory, let us carry forward the lessons he imparted through his life. Let us love without reservation, laugh with abandon, and give of ourselves without expectation of return. In doing so, we keep the essence of Juan alive within us, an eternal source of motivation and inspiration.
Juan's departure is not an end but a transformation, a transition from one form of existence to another. His spirit, as alive and vibrant as ever, continues to guide and comfort us. We celebrate Juan Barros, a man whose life was a masterpiece of the heart, and whose legacy will continue to resonate through generations.
