Juan Franco Melendrez, 76, passed away December 22, 2015. He was born December 20, 1939 to Victoriano Melendrez and Maria Dolores Franco in Fresnillo, Zaratecas. Juan married Evangelina Mercado in Ogden, Utah in 1997. Juan was a member of the Saint Josephs Catholic Church. He loved all his family dearly. He loved helping people in need. He always helped everyone and never denied anybody anything. He will be missed by all who knew him. Juan is survived by his two brothers, Luis F. Lara and Aurelio F . Ramirez; one sister, Griselda Magallanes; four daughters, Irma Melendrez, Ana Tinoco (Pedro), Maribel Melendrez and Bella Quezada; five sons, Francisco Melendrez, Juan Manuel Melendrez, Juan Jose Melendrez (Patricia), Nicolas Melendrez and Pedro Melendrez; 32 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evangelina Mercado; parents, Victoriano Melendrez and Maria D. Franco; two sisters, Victoria Correon and Guadalupe Melendrez. A Viewing will be on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.
