Juanita Lake was born on December 31, 1940 to Ana Mata Rodezno and Rafael Cortez in Santa Ana, El Salvador. She moved to Ohio at the age of 16 and was raised by her Aunt Christina and Uncle John Moan.
She married Robert Lake, together they raised four children.
At the time of Juanitas passing, she was residing with her daughter and family in Pleasant View, Utah.
During Juanitas last ten years of retirement, her hobbies and passions included sewing, puzzling and traveling to visit her family in other states. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids swimming, boating and recreation in the beautiful state of Utah.
Juanita will be dearly missed by her family and friends that were close to her. She will always be remembered for her compassion, understanding and the love that she spread all around her.

Juanita is survived by her four children, David Lake (52), Mike Lake (50), John Lake (48), Alicia Lake-McLaughlin (46); four grandchildren, Christina Lake (26), Joshua Lake (23), Matthew McLaughlin (16) and Madison McLaughlin (14).
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ana Mata; sister, Berta Mata; aunt, Christina Moan and Uncle, John Moan.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
