Obituary

Judith "Judy" Kay Eggleston Fleming, 75, of Covina, California, passed away on November 15, 2022 with her loving husband by her side. Judy was born in Ogden, Utah on March 20, 1947 to Joseph (Wes) and Margaret (Marge) Eggleston (Lyons). Judy married the love of her life, Jim Fleming, January 19, 1962 after he swooped down from a tree and delivered "the kiss" that began a love story for the ages. Together they created a loving family that Judy considered her "greatest blessing." They had three children Penny, Jim Jr., and Brandon. She was "Nana" to nine grandchildren Travis, Chase, Savannah, Summer, Sierra, Serena, Sydney, Eric, and Sean. Judy is considered "Mom/Nana" to many, making loving connections throughout her life. Judy retired from civil service March 20, 2007 after 30 years. Judy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making handmade cards, and giving to others. Judy had a strong faith in God and Jesus. This faith and belief in unconditional love were core features in Judys life. Judy was predeceased by her parents, sister Rita Eggleston, Brother Jim Eggleston, and sister Barbara Vandenberg. She is survived by her husband Jim Sr., children and their spouses Penny Phillips, Jim Jr. & Mindy Fleming, Brandon & Nicole Fleming, grandchildren Travis Phillips, Chase Phillips, Savannah Fleming, Summer Fleming, Sierra Fleming, Serena Fleming, Sydney Fleming, Eric Fleming, and Sean Fleming, Three brothers and their spouses Doug & Pat Eggleston, Lamar & Jody Eggleston, and Michael & Debbie Eggleston, and many nieces and nephews. Service will be held at Leavitts Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park 836 -36th Street, Ogden, Utah on December 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to charity. Some of the causes Judy was passionate about included supporting veterans, literacy efforts, organizations finding cures for cancer, diabetes, Alzheimers, and heart disease.
