Judy Anne Carlson 69, of South Ogden passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. Judy was born on 8 May 1956 to Eli G and Norma S Larsen in Salt Lake City and lived in Kearns during her early years. The family moved to Clearfield Utah where Judy attended Clearfield High School and graduated in 1974. While attending Clearfield High, Judy actively participated in the Pep, French and Drama Clubs.
She met her first Husband Walter Beall who was a military policemen at Hill Air Force Base They moved to Carpinteria California where Walt's family lived. They divorced in 1976 and she moved back to Clearfield with her newborn angel Jessica. Judy worked as a cashier for Safeway stores while attending Weber state College where she eventually earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. While working at Safeways she met Greg while checking out his order he was checking her out and after several more visits to the store he asked her out and she said yes. After dating for 10 months and at Disneyland, Greg asked her for marriage and she said yes and they got married on January 2 1981.
Greg's work as an auditor for the Air Force had Judy and Greg moving around. After living 2 year in Roy Utah they moved to England and lived in small village called Gravely. They traveled England and Wales seeing many famous sites and took trips to Italy, France and Denmark. After 2 years they moved to Highland California and enjoyed all the tourist sites in southern California. The most important event was the birth of their son Jacob. They lived in Highland for 21/2 years, and returned to Utah and lived in East Layton for 2 years, moved to Littleton Colorado for 1 1/2 years before moving back to Utah and eventually settling in SouthOgden. She had numerous fond memories of these places and made many new friends.
Judy devoted her life to her family and was like a mother to many of her nieces and nephews. She was known for her big heart,quirky humor, and unwavering generosity. She loved shopping, dancing, collecting knick-knacks, And spending time visiting with family or chattingon the phone. Judy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her big laugh and joyful spirit.
Judy was a kind, loving person loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband Greg, daughter Jessica (Mike), son Jacob (Morgan), six grandchildren-Kaitlyn, Dallin,Jenna, Allie, Aden and Harley, great grandchild Savannah, sisters Alex Shade, Colleen Swartz, and Josie Endow, and brothers David and Dan Larsen. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. located at Leavitts Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
