Grandma JuneJune Wasuita, 89, was reunited with her loving husband Johnny and daughter Jill after passing away peacefully February 7, 2011.June was born on June 24, 1921, in Preston, Idaho. She was the daughter of Jesse and Elvira McCarrel and the eldest of 6 children. She graduated from Preston High School in 1939. After a 2 year courtship, June married John Wasuita on November 28, 1940 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Ogden, Utah in 1944 where they lived out the rest of their lives. They were happily married for 67 years and had 6 children. June was a member of the Lorin Farr Ward and an active member in the LDS church her entire life. She held many teaching and leadership positions and also did sealings in the Ogden LDS Temple for 14 years.She enjoyed painting, drawing, gardening, crocheting, and was an excellent seamstress. She also had a love for birds. But more than anything else, she loved her family and was always there for each and every one of us. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, 1 brother, 3 sisters, her husband Johnny and her youngest daughter, Jill. She is survived by 5 children; Sherry McIntyre, St. Paul, Minnesota, Michael (Betty) Wasuita, Mountain Green, Steve Wasuita, Roy, Rae Ann (Mike) Stanger, Hooper, and Jan (Steve) Serio, Ogden. She is also survived by 1 sister, Lois Borklund, Elkridge, UT., 16 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.The family would like to give special thanks to Maggie, Lisa and Andrea from Hospice for Utah and the staff of Emeritus Estates, for helping take such wonderful care of our mother. She loved you all, and we appreciate it more than we can say.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street. in Ogden.
