Karen Purser Oborn North Ogden, Utah - Our beautiful mother, grandmother, and daughter returned to her Heavenly Father Monday May 14th, 2012. Karen was born April 25, 1934 in Logan Utah to Vaughn Purser and Carol Hancey and grew up in Hyde Park, and Ogden Utah.We celebrate her life and will remember all of the happy memories she left with us. With these memories we cry that you are gone, and we smile because we shared them with you. Karen was a wonderful mother, and had a great love for her family and friends. She also loved animals and enjoyed several dogs and cats throughout her life. She had many talents, especially as an artist, she has left us with many beautiful paintings. She graduated from Ogden High School in May 1953, and worked for Mountain Bell and the Boeing Company in Utah as Human Resources Director until her retirement in 1990. Karen and her husband Dale built a family home at Bear Lake doing most of the work themselves, where they spent many happy summers together with family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.Karen is survived by her loving mother Carol Parker and her husband William (Bill) Parker, son Kelly D. Oborn, daughter in-law Teresa R. Oborn; her grandchildren Nicholas K. Oborn, Lindsey T. Horspool, and Danielle A. Anderson, and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Dale R. Oborn, her father Vaughn Purser, her grandfather B. Wilbur Hancey, grandmother Leah Christensen Hancey, step father Charles H. Daniel, and many other dear family members and friends. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2012; with a viewing Monday May 21, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
