Kathryn Marie Kerr Petersen Hernandez, 47, passed away on July 13, 2012; doing what she loved, camping with her family. She was born on December 31, 1964 to Michael Kerr and Shirley Songer in Portland, Oregon. Kathryn married Ramon Hernandez on April 7, 2008 in Ogden Utah, where they lived happily. Kathryn worked as a flagger, a job which she enjoyed. She cherished camping, spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, the beauty of the mountains and peace of the flowing rivers. She loved to make everyone who knew her laugh and smile; by being silly. Kathryn was loved by many and had many loving friends that she considered family however; her favorite food was her husbands tacos. She was loved by her family and will be forever missed. Kathryn is survived by her husband: Roman Hernandez, her children, LeRoy Linder of South Weber, Shirley Linder, Adeline Jones, Debra Jones all of Ogden, Karoline Peterson, of Arizona, Phelisha Wiest, of Alaska, 3 brothers; Joseph, Raymond, and James Kerr, all of Ogden, 2 sisters; Christina Dawson, of Roy, and Violet Kerr, of Ogden, 8 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 6 nieces and 11 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: Violet and Earl Songer, 2 brothers: Steven and Daniel Kerr and 1 nephew, Mark Dawson Jr. Graveside services for Kathryn will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family may call Wednesday, July 18 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the graveside service, also at the Mortuary.
