Kathy Jo Neilson (Genta) 69, passed away on March 28, 2022. Kathy was born on November 7, 1952, to Betty Searl Kempster and Joseph Genta in Ogden, Utah. Kathy Jo enjoyed her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed music in all forms. Kathy was a people person; she never missed a chance to have a conversation with someone new. She loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed the holidays with family and friends. She enjoyed laughing and making new memories with friends and family. Kathy was stubborn but had a sweet soul. She was a fighter, she overcame Nonlymphoma and beat it and managed to stay in remission for 15 years. She continuously fought to the end, with all of her new health conditions. Kathy is survived by her children, lifetime companion Rod Neilson, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, Stan Vaughn, Sherrie Rodriguez, and Ashlie Neilson, her siblings: Rodney (Irene) Genta, Judie (Melody) Jacobsen, Carol Jo Genta, Robin Holley, Kim (Lori) Holley, Minnie (Brent) Larsen, Terrie Henderson, and Kerry Armstrong. She is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Genta and Betty Searl, brother Harley Genta and sister Joan Henderson. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
