Kathy Jo Young

Kathy Jo Weaver Young, 64, passed away on January 31, 2023, in Ogden, Utah.

She was born on November 2, 1958, in Ogden, Utah. She was the 5th daughter for Mark Aaron Weaver and Janice Higley Weaver.

She was a waitress in her earlier years. She enjoyed her job at Leavitt's Mortuary as a Groundskeeper, with a very short walk to work from hers and Paul's home on 35th St. She then went up the street to do landscaping and grounds keeping at Weber State University.

She married Paul Young July 20, 1985, in Ogden, Utah. He brought to the marriage two beautiful daughters, who Kathy loved very much, Jessica Young Child (Tyson) and Jenny Young Gough (Jason) Roy, Utah. Sadly, Paul, her beloved husband passed away February 1, 2023, in Ogden Utah. You couldn't say "Kathy without Paul".

Kathy is survived by Paul's daughters, Jessica (Tyson) Child and Jenny (Jason) Gough and their sons Vann Gough (11) Abel Gough (8) Her only grandchildren whom she loved very much.

Her mother Janice Higley Weaver Ogden UT Her sisters; Peggy Frost, Ogden UT., Nancy & Steve Malan, Florence AZ., Sandy & Mark Spinden, North Ogden UT., Shelley & Brad (Tom) Thomassen Ogden UT. Her brother Mark & Stephanie Weaver Ogden UT. Kathy has several nieces & nephews, tons of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Kathy was preceded in death by her Daddy, Mark Aaron Weaver and many other family members.

She was a Great Aunt! and was loved by many and will be missed by all.

There will a "Celebration of Life" on Saturday March 11th, 2023, at the Harrisville Cabin from 1:00 till 4:00pm @ 725 W. Harrisville Road in Harrisville, UT.
