Katie Cook Kiernan, 90, passed away August 7, 2014. She was born April 19, 1924 to Percy N. and LaRene Z. Cook in Ogden, Utah. Katie graduated from Ogden High School in 1942. She married Thomas J. Kiernan October 15, 1949 in Ogden. She retired from DDO and was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and Queen Esther #4 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Katie is survived by two sons, Kent T. Kiernan of Sammamish, WA and Keith A. Kiernan of Ogden, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Katie is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Kiernan III, and one brother, Howard Cook. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 - 36th St., Ogden, UT. Friends may visit with family prior to the graveside from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary.
