Kay Parker Berry, 83, of Roy, UT, passed away on August 31, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Kay was born on May 29, 1940, to Roland (Ted) and Alverda Parker of Roy, UT. In 1963 Kay married Arland Lee Stark, they later divorced. In 1986 Kay married Paul Haring, they later divorced. On June 15, 1988, Kay married the love of her life Blaine E Berry and they were inseparable until his death in 2021.

Kay was raised in Roy, UT and graduated from Weber High School in the Class of 1957. Kay then attended and graduated with an associate degree in Home Economics from Weber State College. She went on to complete her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University.

Kay fell in love with Home Economics, Family Life Education and Consumer Education, which kicked off a lifetime in the field. From teaching full time, going to part time when her daughter was born, to creating several businesses in the fields of Home Economics and Business. She was an accomplished woman who wore many hats over the years and had a story for every one of them. She will be deeply missed by many.

Kay was a faithful member of the LDS church.  She spent many years in the service of others through numerous church callings in the Roy 5th ward and through community clubs and associations in which she actively participated.  She was former president and member of the Golden Spike Minerals rock hounding club and a member of the Good Sam's and of the Air Force Association.

Kay was preceded in death by Blaine her husband of 33 years, parents Roland (Ted) and Alverda Parker and her younger brother Ray Parker.

Kay is survived by her brother Glen (Elaine) Parker of Bountiful and by her children Susan (Marty) Wheelwright, Joshua, Texas; Scott (Linda) Berry, West Haven; Lynn Berry, West Haven; Elaine (John) Dauma, Salt Lake City; and Janice (Tom) Arnold of Kinsley, Kansas; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Our family would like to thank the many friends, ward members and healthcare workers that always treated her with such love and care. I know she cared for each one of you, and you all made her day brighter with your visits and calls.

There will be a Celebration of Kay’s Life in May of 2024, details will be posted at a later date.
