Obituary

Kayle "Cook" Chapman, 77, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his home. Cook was born on June 8, 1934 in Ogden, Utah, son of William and Alta Chapman. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On April 6, 1973, Cook married Bessie Emiko Kawaguchi; in Evanston, Wyoming. He worked and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. Cook loved spending time with his family and friends, golfing and his dogs. He especially enjoyed making his granddaughters laugh. Surviving are his wife, son; Tony (Amy) and two granddaughters; Noelle and Ava. He is also survived by two brothers; Scott and William Chapman, SLC, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Kamille. A gathering to celebrate Cooks life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
