Keith Bowers was called home to his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2026. He was 93 years old. Keith was born April 5, 1933, to Delbert and Viola Bowers, in Collinston, Utah. He grew up in the Ogden area. In January of 1952, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served until December of 1955.
While on leave in 1953, he met Lucille Brown. She became the love of his life. They were married on January 12, 1954, and at the time of Lucille’s death, they had been married 63 years. They raised 3 children, had 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Keith was employed at Hill Air Force Base for over 30 years. He retired in 1988 at the age of 53. After retiring, he and Lucy travelled. They enjoyed spending the winter months in the warmer climates of southern Utah and Arizona. They eventually moved to St. George, Utah to enjoy the sunshine throughout the year. He stayed in St. George for almost 3 years after Lucille died. In March of 2020, he moved to Nampa, Idaho, where he was able to meet and befriend new people despite there being a global pandemic.
Keith was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He followed and expressed his faith freely and proudly. He was a faithful believer in the savior, Jesus Christ, and an afterlife where he is now united with those who have gone before, and lives with his sweetheart, Lucille, eternally.
He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, his wife Lucille, his son Paul (Cindy), his daughter and son-in-law Karen and Evan Peters, and his grandson, Dalton.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Vallard (Paul), daughter-in-law Cindy Bowers (Paul), grandchildren Staci, Jeff, Shelley, Cristofer, Jim, Matthew, Nicholas, Tilbi, Sam (Evan), Emily, and Ben, as well as 30 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, his brother Harold, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He lived a long and full life and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13th at 2:00 PM, At Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403, with a viewing held an hour prior starting at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Aultorest Memorial Park.
