Keith E. Harris, 76, passed away, April 16, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. He was born, October 25, 1937, in Preston, Idaho to Byron M. Harris and Klea Peterson Harris. Keith attended Ben Lomond High School. Keith married Mary E. Hardy, they spent many memorable years together camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends. In 1956 he enlisted in the Army where he served with the 101st Airborne Division. One of his most memorable experiences was escorting a student during the integration of schools in Little Rock, Arkansas. Keith worked at the Defense Depot Ogden for over 30 years in various areas, retiring as a supervisor in 1992. Keith is survived by his children Vickie (Dennis) Hathaway, Jan (Jim) Betts. Brian Harris, Michael (Cami Lou) Harris, stepchildren, Joe Anderson, Tim (Rhonda) Anderson, Smantha (Bob) Hatting, Paul Garvey. He is survived by his brothers, Blaine (Eva) and Craig (Sandy) and a sister Opal Opp. Twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, a daughter Diana Lyn, both parents and brother-in-law Dennis Opp, Friends may visit family Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden.
