IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Jon
Clark
December 28, 1957 – March 27, 2024
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Kenneth Jon Clark, returned to his Heavenly Father's arms unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
Ken was born in Delta, Utah on December 28th, 1957. He was the second of four sons born to Jack Stockton Clark and Janet (Bunker) Clark. He grew up in Kaysville, Utah and graduated from Davis High School in 1976. Ken went on to attend Weber State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
Ken married his "little slice of heaven", Christine Jones, on June 16th, 1983. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City temple on December 15th, 1984.
Ken started his career at Hughes Aircraft in Los Angeles, where he and Chris spent their newlywed years enjoying their time living at the beach and cruising the strand on their bikes. It was there that they welcomed their first children, Cassidy and Matthew, into their family. Ken and Chris later moved their family back to Layton, Utah where they welcomed their daughter Sara.
He started working at Morton International (later Autoliv) in 1990 where he spent the next 32 years designing and building airbags and automotive safety products. During his time there, he made dozens of close friends who loved him for his quick wit, practical jokes, and renowned "Ken-isms". He spent the last year enjoying his time working at Joyson Safety Systems, where he was able to travel and made instant new friends all over the world who also came to appreciate Ken for all his "isms" and the man that he was.
In 2000, Ken and Chris moved to Mountain Green, where he spent his remaining years. He loved living in the mountains, close to Snowbasin where he spent many weekends with his children and his grandson skiing, obsessively working in his yard, riding his four-wheeler and side-by-side, and helping his children with different projects in his spare time. He truly was a man of giving, there to help everyone when able.
There is nothing Ken loved more than spending time with his family, where many jokes were made and laughs were had at his expense. His passions for baseball, WWII history and cars made their way into family memories, trips and experiences.
One item on the bucket list was to attend a baseball game at every baseball park in the US with Matt. They were well on their way through the list and had many other adventures and memories tee'd up to take full advantage of their guy time where they could laugh and joke about everything.
Ken spent the last years of his life traveling with Chris, and spending every free moment he had with his cherished grandchildren. Every one of them was grandpa's "sweetheart" and he made each of them feel unique and special.
Ken is survived by, and will be enormously missed by his wife Chris, his children Cassidy (Cameron) Anderson, Matt, and Sara (Josh) Nix, his three grandchildren that he absolutely adored, Jack, Ava, and Julian, his parents Jack and Janet Clark, and three brothers Mike (Vickee) Clark, Alan (Sonja) Clark, and Steve (Stacy) Clark. Ken leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and amazing friends who will miss his famous sense of humor and legendary story-telling.
Ken's family would like to thank the staff of the McKay-Dee ICU for all their help in his final days. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and the funeral on April 3rd, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Highlands Ward building at 5378 W Old Highway Road, Mountain Green, UT 84050. Interment will be in the Bluffdale City Cemetery at 14229 S. Redwood Road, Bluffdale, UT 84065.
