Kenneth Eugene Redmond January 17, 1951 ~ September 14, 2014 Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Kenneth Eugene Redmond, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, September 14, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born January 17, 1951 in Laramie WY, the son of Robert George and Alice Mae Lewis. He attended Roy High School and served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Corporal from 1968-1970 in the Vietnam War. He married his sweetheart, Jean Kapp on February 9, 1976 in Morgan, Utah and they enjoyed 38 wonderful years together. Kenny was a hard worker. He sharpened his skills as a pipefitter at Utah Pipes Trades, and later retired from HAFB in 2012. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, where he served as secretary for the High Priest Quorum, and was a dedicated home teacher. Kenny loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He also loved bowling and playing cards. A favorite pastime was football season and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play many different sports. Grandpa was their biggest fan! He loved the Steelers and Pepsi. The influence he made on his family and friends will continue as the love he gave made an impact on all that knew him. He was truly adored by all his grandchildren! He is survived by, his spouse Jean Redmond, sons and wives Mike and Teri Campbell, Steve and Yvette Campbell, Brent and Cindy Campbell, Paul and Tori Campbell and daughter Nancy Redmond Chavez. He had fifteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Roberta and Shelly. He was proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters and a nephew. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing prior from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th Street, Ogden, UT. A viewing will also be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
