CLINTON – Kenny Sorensen, 82, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, due to natural causes. He was born May 11, 1942, in Ogden, UT to George Sorensen and Blanch Head Sorensen.
Kenny attended school in Ogden, UT, he joined the Army out of High School, served his county proudly for 4 years, he returned to Ogden, UT, he then joined the Navy Reserve serving another 4 years. He spent 18 years in Okinawa, Japan, Kadina Air Force Base working Civil Service/ DET35. He married Sueko Kuniyshi on January 18, 1992, and they returned to the States in 2004 and resided in Clinton, UT.
Kenny enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. His hobbies included Photography "Shutter Bug", making videos of his photos sharing with his family and friends. He enjoyed talking about his old Army days, his experiences with his comrades during his time served, along with many stories about his bouts in the boxing ring: aka "Colonel Kick-Ass". His love and passion for his dogs goes without saying "Mans Best Friend".
Kenny is survived by his sister, Susie Fowers, Willard, UT; Daughter, Shana Glines (Mike), Taylorsville, UT.; Son Mark Sorensen (Kimberly), Fort Mill, SC; 5 Grandchildren, Nicole Glines, Jason Glines, Megan Glines, Kirsten Sorensen, Masen Sorensen,; 3 Great Grandchildren; Dexter Glines, Ila Glines, Fred Glines. He was preceded death by his parents, George Sorensen, Blanch Head, his wife Sueko (Kuniyoshi) Sorensen.
He will be missed dearly by his Family and many Friends.
