Kent, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was born on August 25, 1936, in Ogden, UT. He is the son of Wayne George and Moralta (Mickey) Bowman Shipley. He married Kay Child on June 3, 1961, in Riverdale, UT. Kent loved camping, fishing, wood working, and spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. Kent is survived by his wife, Kay; children Shelly, Wayne, Dale, and Jason; grandchildren Samantha, Seth, Colton, and Jakob; siblings David and Karen (Hamblin) Shipley, Karen (Shipley) Herlth, and Terri Shipley and husband George Dibble. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Mickey Shipley, and infant son, Kenton Wayne Shipley, Jr. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT.
