Our amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Kerma Talbot Larsen passed away on October 17, 2017. She was born on April 25, 1926, to parents Joseph and Rachel Talbot in Jackson, Idaho. Kerma attended and graduated from Bear River High School. She married Carlos James Larsen on June 24, 1945, and on March 8, 1962, they were sealed in the Hawaiian temple. They had four children, Carla Rae, Leonard Dee, Mason James, and Kandy Sue. Kerma and Jim lived in Arizona, California, and Texas before settling in Utah. They lived in Roy for over 50 years. Kerma was a lifelong member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she loved the activities and community service. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served and held many positions in all auxiliaries at ward and stake levels. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the power of prayer. Jim and Kerma loved to travel and had taken many wonderful vacations with family and friends. She had a keen sense of humor and her positive attitude shined through. She had such a way of touching everybodys hearts. -You do not find the happy life, you make it - Kerma is survived by her children, Carla and Larry Burnett, Leonard and Jo Larsen, Mason and Alex Larsen, and Kandy and Kevin Lopshire; two sisters, Joyce Rice and Nola Ashby; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; six brothers, Jay, Norman, Dean, Vere, Harvey, and Clayne; two sisters, Lynne and Amber; and a dear friend and sister in law, Clara; great-granddaughter, Taylor Burnett; and a great-grandson, Robert James Larsen. Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, located at 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Monday, October 23, 2017, at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and again on Monday, October 23, 2017, from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. A very special thank you to Dr. Scott Moulton and the staff at Fairfield Village for the excellent care they gave Kerma. We would also like to thank her friends of the Roy 13th ward.
