Obituary

Klea M. Kapp , 92, passed away peacefully at her home with her family around her on 30 August 2012.Klea was born 5 Feb 1920 in Wilson Lane. She is the daughter of Ernest Edmund Mower and Alice Karen Sorensen. She had seven brothers who have been waiting to see her, Ernest, Orson, Frank, Glenn, Grant, Willis and Winfred. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Tyler Scott Oborn. She has two sister-in-laws still living Blanche (Frank) Mower and Karlene (Willis) Mower.She married LeNoir Jensen in 1940 and was later divorced. She married her eternal companion Jacob on 15 Feb, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are members of the West Weber 2nd ward.The most important part of Kleas life was her family, and her Heavenly Father. She also loved music and directed several operettass and church musicals. She served as Regional music director and Stake music director for several years leading many youth choirs. She served as Ward Young Ladies President and a counselor in the Stake Young Womens Presidency. She even played the organ for opening exercises for the priesthood class. Her last calling was Ward music director. She served in the Relief Society Presidency and was a member or the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She also performed in productions such as All Faces West, the Ogden Chorale and the Ogden Choral-Aires. She gave many hours of service working with the youth to help them become all they could be.Klea loved to travel which she did with two of her sisters-in-law and her husband. In later years she enjoyed long rides with her husband and watching the horse venues at the Golden Spike Arena and quarter horse racing when their horses raced.She worked in the Nadines ladies store, C.C. Andersons, Skaggs, Sperry Rand and Gibson Discount Store. She was secretary for the Kapp Construction.She is survived by her beloved husband, one daughter, Karen Lee (Martin) Bender and one son Gary (Penny) Kapp. She has 15 grand children, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.We are going to miss you mom but have comfort in knowing where you are and that you are with loved ones.We would like to thank Dr. Mansfield, Vista Care (Hospice) for their loving care, also her visiting teachers Gloria McFarland Helen Elmer and her home teacher Bishop Doug Stephens.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the West Weber Ward, 900 South 4100 West, West Weber. Family will meet friends Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Interment will be held at West Weber Cemetery.
