LaRae King Hill, age 85, passed away peacefully December 11, 2020 from causes incident to age. Her children were fortunate to have said goodbye to her before her passing.
She was born to Mary Celesta (Lee) and Forrest Fountain King on May 21, 1935 into a large family of 10 children. Being the youngest of nine brothers and one sister, she learned to tease and have a sense of humor. She loved to laugh. This sense of humor was passed down to her children that made for a lot of fun memories.
LaRae was married to the love of her life, Joseph L. Hill on October 2nd, 1953. Throughout their 52 years of marriage they lived in Reno, Nevada, Clearfield, Layton and Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden, UT LDS Temple on July 12th, 1978.
Taking care of children in a daycare setting in her home was a part of her life for many years. She loved children and enjoyed her church callings teaching little ones. What funny stories she would tell!
LaRae is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, and daughters Sharon Lynn Letchenberg and Brenda Jean Barry, 8 brothers, 1 sister and many aunts and uncles. She leaves behind her son Stephen Hill (Linda) and Kristine Ward (Larry), along with 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. A graveside service will be held on December 19th at the Leavitt Mortuary and Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden Utah.
