LaRene Gibson Bateman, 67 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 16, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 19, 1946 to Clifford and Dorothy Gibson in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her deep devotion to God, family and friends sustained her through her challenging journey and her joyful spirit touched those around her. She has given us many special memories and throughout her life she was everyones cheerleader. She is survived by her children Kellie, Tom, Jeff (Doni), Cindy (David), Charles, David (Doris), 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, three sisters, and numerous extended family members. She was so blessed to have the greatest doctors. The family would like to thank Dr. Frame and Dr. MacPherson and their loving staff for their incredible care and support. A Celebration Service will be held at 11:00 am on November 25, 2014 at Life Church, located at 3818 W 4700 S Salt Lake City, UT. Burial will follow the service at Salt Lake City Cemetery located at 200 "N" Street, Salt Lake City, UT. A reception will follow at Life Church. Arrangements under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
