Obituary

On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, Laron "Larry" Glen Anderson passed away at the Ogden Veterans Home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on January 11, 1952, in Ogden, Utah to Albert and Lois Anderson. He was the third of five children. Larry grew up in Uintah and worked at the Valley Nursery as a young man. After graduating from Bonneville High School, he joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. After the war, he worked at Valley Nursery, Chromalox, and Autoliv. Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, especially taking them to the rock shop and making ice cream. He also enjoyed fishing and shooting his guns. He was a fast draw and excellent marksman. Larry was a master leather craftsman and enjoyed gifting his beautiful work to friends and family. Larry is survived by his son Jason (Ashley) Seiber; daughter, Heather (Brian) Thomas; stepdaughter, Tiera Baird; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Orion, Joey, Kenley, Brooklyn, Zander and Mia; siblings, Barbara (Tracy) Carter, Curtis Anderson, Clark (Patti) Anderson, many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lois Anderson; brother, Lyle Anderson, and dogs, Jasmine and Ariel. A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 16, 2018, from 2 to 3 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St. Ogden, UT. Honoring his wish to be cremated, Larrys ashes will be buried with his deceased brother Lyle at Ogden City Cemetery.
