A legacy of love Larry and Lois passed away on August 31, 2018 Larry Dean Bachman was born September 10, 1934 to Walter C Bachman and Vivien Monson in Ogden UT. Lois Sant Bachman was born March 18, 1933 in Treasurton ID to Orsen C. Sant and Cloie Conlin. They both graduated from Ogden High and Lois attended LDS Business College. Larry served a mission to Helsinki Finland. They met in Ogden and married a few months later on November 1, 1960 in Anchorage Alaska. Larry served in the Air Force for 20 years during that time they lived in England a total 8 years. They had a daughter DeOnna and a son Kim. They enjoyed traveling both in Europe and the states. After retiring they moved to Clearfield in 1977, Larry worked at McKay-Dee Hospital for 20 years as a duty engineer. He loved fixing things. He loved working on his Volvos and remodeling his house. He loved getting a deal and helping and teaching others with his many talents. He loved telling jokes and had a comeback for everything. He thought things were always more better. Lois was a devoted wife and mother. She worked in the church mainly in relief society. She loved flowers and working in her garden. She did flower arrangements and had her own shop for a while, making silk flowers for many weddings. Lois loved reading her many books and doing word searches. They were devoted to one another and left this world in peace within four hours of each other. What a true love story. Larry and Lois are survived by their daughter DeOnna Braunberger and son Kim Bachman (Mandy), Larry by his sisters Velayne Davis, Ruth Reading and Susie Bailey- Thompson and Lois by her brother Dennis Sant, And five grandchildren Dedra, Tristan, Sara, Kaylee and Kylee They were preceded in death by their parents, three brothers and two sisters. We want to thank Lacie, Carsen, Blaine McDonald, Cierra and Terrence for their love and care for Larry and Lois so they could stay in their home together. Also to the Envision and Encompass hospice workers. Joint Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday prior to services from 12:45 to 1:45 PM. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
