Larry Robinson's Obituary

On "Mothers Day" my husband, our Dad, Uncle, Grandpa and Great Grandpa, our Gentle Giant, Larry passed away after fighting a long battle with cancer. A man of few words, but when he spoke in his deep strong voice..everyone listened. He had many favorite sayings to greet people and even though they were silly it made us all smile. Larry worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 42 years, always looking handsome in his railroad uniform. He enjoyed golf, (although he was right handed and golfed left handed?). He enjoyed his Scotch and the more he had the better the stories got. He loved and admired his beautiful wife of 42 years, (even though they snuck off to Vegas and got married and didnt tell anyone). He truly loved and admired his children and step children, (his dog Irish trumped everyone though). To send Larry off in style, his family said their goodbyes with a shot of whiskey to wish him well in his next adventure. Larry is survived by his beautiful wife Barbara; children: Rendal, Kyle (WinYu); step children: Cindy (Mike), Steve (Brigetta), Jill (Lisa); five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Deidre. Larry is preceded in death by his best friend, his dog Irish; mother, Mary Anne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Elizabeth; sister, Kitty; and granddaughter, Lindsey. LP, we wish you well on your adventure. We are sure you have Irish by your side chatting with him. May the fly fishing be greatthe par golf be plentiful and the scotch be never ending. Our thanks and gratitude to my "angels" from Hearts for Hospice, your love, support and help during this difficult time can never be repaid.
