Larry W. Spiers, 84, passed away March 16, 2016. He is the son of George Albert and Ethel Jensen Spiers. At the age of 18, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He married Wynne Harrison. They were later divorced. He married June Wright who passed away January 6, 2007. He then married Darlene Kearl, December 26, 2008. Larry worked hard his entire life. He was a wonderful husband, father and a man who loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply. Larry loved to work on cars and could fix anything at anytime. He was a teaser and always had a twinkle in his eyes. Larry retired from Hill Air Force Base after 25 years. He worked as a missile mechanic. Following his retirement from the Hill Air Force Base he worked at various other establishments as a mechanic. Larry is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughter, Jan (Dick) Campbell; son, Jim Spiers; sister, Pat Cude; stepchildren, Cathy (Richard) Bennion, Shauna (Kim) Williams, Robert (Connie) Kearl II, Paul (Nancy) Kearl, David (Teresa) Kearl and Steven (Cherie) Kearl. He is preceded in death by his son, David L. Spiers; sister, Gloria Schwitzer and brother-in-law, Richard Cude. Larry was known to many children as Grandpa Larry. He leaves a great posterity who loved him immensely. A Viewing will be on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 1:00 to 1:45 pm.
