Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, caregiver, friend, teacher.MAMMY!
88 year old Laurea Julia Larsen Heines, 39 year Continental Bakery queen, passed away January 17, 2015. She was the daughter of Ernest and Florence Larsen.
Mammy was a fighter. She didnt live her life relying on what others said or did. She forged her own way regardless of what others told her she could or couldnt do. She was in charge of life. When the doctors said months, she gave them years. Life was her "bell". She rang it loud. She would "bowl" a place into your heart that would never let you forget her.
Mammy had her opinions and you knew them.well. She always loved and supported you for having your opinion too. She didnt have good times and bad. She had good times and opportunities to grow and showed the world what she was made of. Every day was a day to love, to hug, to learn, and to get better.
Mammy was preceded in death by her husband Ray, brothers; Mack, Albertus, sisters, Gertie, Pee Wee, Zeke, Joy, son-in-law Craig, and her grandson Tony. Still fighting in Mammys desire for life are her "Ding Dong" family, daughters Kristene (Dan), Jeanne, Susy (Bobby), her sister Enda, grandchildren, Weston, Nesha, Kellie, Jamie, Mikhale, Brody and their families. Talk about a "Snowball" effect.
You cannot miss someone who is always in your heart, guiding you every day. So lets celebrate the wisdom and great times that Mammy gave us all. A "Twinkie" toast to our "cupcake".. Mammy!
